FAQ

  • Is this class suitable for a beginner?

If you have never made a doll ever, this is probably not the best class to start with as you won't have guidance to continue making your doll. I recommend to begin with one of my doll e-books if this is your case. But other than that, it is the perfect class for dollmaking beginners in the natural fiber art doll realm.

  • How long do I have access to the class?

You will have access to your class content for 1 year upon purchase.

  • Will I receive feedback from you regarding my progress?

You are welcome to ask any and all questions in each lesson, as you go through them. You can also email me and send me photos of your progress so I can better support your learning journey.

  • What do you learn in this class?

You will learn to roll a firm head, build a neck, how to sculpt all the facial features: jaw, chin, cheeks, nose and lips using needle felting. Then you will learn how to to sew a skin cover to reveal your doll features. The class does not cover eye embroidery or include a body pattern, but I give you tips on how to adapt the head to some of my existing doll patterns in the pdf included in the Welcome post.

  • Are there restrictions to taking the class?

You cannot share any part of this class, videos, text or information, in any way, shape or form. I please ask that you do not paraphrase the content of this class in any private or public forum, nor that you post public photos of your progress as you create the doll. This is to protect the content of my class. You are welcome to post photos of your finished doll head. If you decide to sell the doll I ask that you include in your listing that the head was sculpted via this class.

Feedback from students

If you are serious about doll making...

by Bear and Bird Dolls

I am working through the "Needle Felting a Doll's Face Young Child" by Fig and Me, and I am so impressed with my results already. If you are serious about getting into doll making, I cannot recommend this course enough! Fabs is so detailed and so meticulous in her work that you can't help but strive to attain that level of perfection.

Great class!

Loved every minute!

Mon Petit Sis

I took the class last year and I loved every minute. The positive energy Fabiola is giving you through the class makes you bring up the best in yourself and you will learn so much. (She used my Big Fig pattern to finish her doll).
